With the Google Paper Phone, you can perform a digital detox by printing a personal booklet containing the key information you need on that day
You can’t take Pixel’esque selfie photos with the new Google Paper phone. You can not make calls. There is literally nothing that can be done with Google’s newest phone.
The newly launched Google paper Phone is a printable paper phone that lets you take a break from your digital world. As part of its Digital Wellbeing initiative, Google has launched an application called “Paper Phone” to help users reduce their dependence on smartphones.
With the Google Paper Phone, you can perform a digital detox by printing a personal booklet containing the key information you need on that day.
Paper Phone is essentially an application designed to help users with digital detoxification. The new application is part of “Experiments with Google” and helps users by printing a personal brochure with the most important information for the day.
With the Paper Phone app, you can choose which items you want to add, such as: For example, you can print favorite contacts, cards, and meetings, and print them directly on a sheet of paper. The company wants you not to be distracted and focused by customizable “paper apps” such as recipes, phrasebooks, and notepads.
Google wants you to focus on the things that matter the most with “Experiments with Google” with its Google Paper Phone Project.
“Paper Phone is an experimental open source Android app that’s available now, and all the code is available on Github so people can play with it and hopefully take it over and develop it,” Google said in a blog post.
Google Paper Phone Can Bring Balance with the Technology, According To the Google
“We hope this little experiment can help you to try a digital detoxification of the technology and focus on the things that matter most. Paper Phone is an experimental open source Android app that is now available for testing. All the code is available on Github so people can play with it and hopefully adapt and evolve!”, Said the Google on its Blog
This is not Google’s first attempt to use Digital Detox. Android OS on smart phones comes with a digital well-being feature that allows people to reduce the time spent on devices. However, Paper Phone is just an experiment that, according to Google, should “help” people.
The Paper Phone is part of a new package of “digital well-being experiments” designed to provide users with a “digital detoxification” experience and is just an app which is free of cost as it is an experiment. So, the people who are Googling ‘google paper phone price’ or ‘Google paper phone price in India’, just stop looking for the price and test it with your own hands.
It came in the same week that Google launched its latest cell phone: the 800-dollar Pixel 4 with built-in radar technology that can be controlled by the user’s hand movements. Wow Google!
Once again, Paper Phone is an experimental open source Android application and is absolutely free to download on android phones that is currently available for trial. All code is available on Github for users to play and hopefully adapt and evolve! “On the days when I need a digital detox, I can see that it has a positive effect on my mental state.” Find a balance with technology.
