WhatsApp Brings Animated Stickers To Beta Versions For Android, iOS: Report

Not a long time ago, WhatsApp said that it is working on the ability to use animated stickers on the beta version of the app.

And Now, it has released its first animated sticker pack for beta users.

As spotted by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has added its first animated sticker pack, Playful Piyomaru, on the latest beta versions for iOS and Android.

So, if you want to try out the animated stickers of the carefree chickling, you’ll have to update to the 2.20.195.1 version of the Android WhatsApp beta and 2.20.70.26 version of the iOS WhatsApp beta.

The Piyomaru sticker pack will be available on the WhatsApp Store, where it will be available for download.

And if you can’t download it, it might be because the WhatsBeta version you use is old.

If you are not seeing the animated stickers even after updating to the latest version, the WABetaInfo report adds that users can back up their chat history and reinstall WhatsApp to get the updated features.

• So far, it has been reported that the animated sticker feature in WhatsApp Beta is available in several parts.

• It offers the ability to view animated stickers, save and send all received animated stickers, and even download standard animated sticker packs from the WhatsApp Store.

• Users also have the option to import animated third-party stickers and create their own animated sticker packs. This is the case with the stickers widely used on WhatsApp.

While this feature will certainly be a step-up from the normal stickers making conversions more fun and interactive for users, at the moment, it is still in beta. It is not clear when WhatsApp will add animated stickers to the main version.
