Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 could be a lot tougher than the Galaxy Fold

The Samsung galaxy fold was weak and frail than the most smartphones, but now, Samsung is all set to unveil the Samsung Galaxy fold 2, as many giant tech websites revealed some info, the upcoming Samsung galaxy fold 2 will have a tougher screen.

As LetsGodigital has discovered three recent trademark application from Samsung Smartphone relating to ‘ultra Thin Glass’. As the name says itself, these types of screens are unbelievably thin – just 10mm.

These types of screens are as thin as a human hair. Incredible! Isn’t it? Here is what exactly the post said from the LetsGoDigital:

“On December 9, 2019, Samsung Electronics submitted three trademark applications through a contact person in Spain, all of which are related to each other. The names are ‘Samsung Ultra-Thin Glass’, ‘Samsung UTG’ and ‘UTG’ The applications are categorized as Class 9, with the description:

Samsung Ultra-Thin Glass description: Display panels in the nature of flat panel display screens; electric luminescent display panels; computer display monitors; digital signage; light-emitting diode displays; OLED (Organic light-emitting diode) display panels; panel for large format display; displays for digital cameras; display for smartphonesLCD monitor for display; flat panel display screens; television monitors; video display screens for portable communications apparatus; display panels for television; televisions; smartphones.”

And what’s more, these screens are hardly scratchable, especially when compared to the polymide plastic used for the original Galaxy Fold’s Screen.

While talking about this, let’s mark that these trademark apps don’t mention the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, but they surely mention that Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) can be used for making Smartphones screens, and this isn’t the first news we heard about this technology.

It was reported in October that Samsung has been looking to use UTG in the Galaxy Fold 2, so we can be sure about these trademark evidence. What do you think?

And what is even more surprising that rumors say that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will be cheaper than the original Galaxy Fold despite the fact that these screens are made with more money. Surprising isn’t it? Let’s wait to see how true it stays.
