The Amazon
Fire Stick 4K is the media streaming device that Amazon should launch years ago!
The new $ 50 streaming dongle is cooler than a Roku and much
cheaper than an Apple TV. It offers 4K HDR videos in all imaginable formats and
beats the most expensive Fire TV cube from Amazon ($ 120) and third generation
Fire TV cube ($ 70, now discontinued). It also fixes the stupidest bug of
earlier Fire TV models by adjusting the volume and power of the TV on your remote.
Think of Alexa’s powerful voice commands and get an attractive 4K HDR
transmitter at any price, let alone the lowest price on the market. Know more
on the phone by calling Amazon Fire Stick Support or Amazon Live Chat Number.
The Amazon
Fire Stick 4K is not for everyone. As always, it’s optimized for Amazon Prime
subscribers, and while the interface is interesting, it’s still packed with
promotional material and redundancies. Nor is it a novelty for YouTube TV
subscribers who are currently our preferred live TV streaming service as Amazon
and Google avoid the TV platforms of others. But if these issues are not
critical, you’ll find a surprising amount of things you’ll love about this
budget channel.
- The Amazon Fire TV Stick has already been
upgraded to support 4K content in the third generation and, like its
predecessor, have an 802.11ac WLAN chip and a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor. The
bank will not go below $ 50 bust.
- Like the previous version of Fire TV Stick, the
latest model has voice support courtesy of Amazon Alexa, and you can still find
lots of content through a variety of different applications, including Netflix
and Amazon Prime Video, and more. Who needs a Smart? -TV?
- While Amazon has resolved some of the issues we
had with the previous model, there are still some small annoying issues that do
not make the experience perfect, but it’s not far.
- Since launching the Amazon Fire Stick 4K, Amazon
has introduced TVs with the release of a new set of Fire TV Edition devices and
a new Amazon Fire TV cube, an updated version of its Alexa-enabled hands. -free
streaming media player that adds Dolby Vision and some other new features to
the mix.
Amazon Fire Stick 4K PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
- The Amazon Fire Stick 4K is priced at $ 49.99 /
£ 49.99 and costs around $ 68 at current exchange rates. However, it is not yet
available in Australia and it is not yet known when Amazon will start selling
in that area
- Compared to the non-4K version of the Fire TV
Stick, you see a price increase of approximately $ 10 / £ 10, which we consider
very reasonable given the higher quality of content you get with 4K support,
Dolby Vision, HDR, HDR10 + and Dolby Atmos.
- Similar products like Google Chromecast Ultra
cost about $ 69. So if you want to spend less than $ 50, the Amazon Fire Stick
4K is a great option. Keep in mind, though, that you will need to purchase
subscriptions to use many of the applications, such as Netflix and Prime Video,
which may be added soon.
Amazon Fire Stick 4K – THE COMPACT DESIGN
If you’ve been using the previous Amazon Fire TV Stick,
you’ll find that the new version has barely changed in design. Ask the Amazon
experts about the design on the Amazon Fire Stick Customer Service portal.
- The Amazon Fire Stick 4K measures 99mm x 30mm x
14mm and is as discreet and compact as ever. It can be connected directly to the
HDMI 2.2 port of your TV. The device itself is slightly wider than a standard
HDMI cable. In case you have problems with the installation, Amazon has
included an HDMI extender cable (male / female).
- According to Amazon, the extension cable can
also be used to improve the wireless connection and the performance of the
remote control.
- The exterior of the Amazon Fire Stick 4K is very
similar to that of the previous model, except that now the Amazon arrow logo is
displayed without text. Inside, as before, there is an 802.11ac WLAN chip and a
1.7 GHz quad-core processor. Now the Fire TV Stick of course supports 4K as
well as Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
- On the side of the Amazon Fire Stick 4K is a
micro-USB port for connecting the power supply.
THE AMAZON FIRE STICK 4K REMOTE CONTROL
Now in the remote
control; The biggest change here is that it now includes volume buttons and
an on / off button. The inability to change the volume with the remote control
of the previous model was a particular point of contention for many users who
found it annoying to constantly switch between the volume and the remote
control of their television or asked Alexa to change the volume. You can also
listen from the Amazon experts about the remote’s features on the Fire Stick
Customer Service Support Number or via the most loved Amazon Live Chat service.
- Therefore, you can now use the remote control to
change the volume of your TV, AV receiver or soundbar, which is much more
comfortable.
- Like its predecessor, there is a microphone
button on the top of the remote control that lets you call Alexa without having
to say “Alexa” before every command.
AMAZON FIRE STICK 4K: FEATURES AND PERFORMANCE
The configuration of the Amazon Fire Stick 4K was absolutely
perfect thanks to the simple user interface and the responsive remote control.
During setup, the Fire TV Stick must be connected to the power and HDMI ports
on your TV. All required cables and adapters are included.
- Once you have connected the Fire TV Stick to
your TV, you will be asked to configure the remote: your TV will guide you
through the process, so you do not have to worry about scrolling through the
manuals.
- Like its predecessor, the user interface of the Amazon
Fire Stick 4K is extremely easy to navigate, even for those who have never used
a streaming device. Recent programs and applications can be found on the home
screen. You can also scroll up and down to find different content and
applications.
- US Fire TV customers will also find a recently
added tab in their device’s UI. Called “Live TV”, it collects all your
live channels in one place.
- The user interface is not only easy to use, but
also very responsive and fast to load. There is also a fantastic selection of
streaming applications available. To test how easy it is to subscribe to a new
service, we’re trying to set up an account with Disney Life through the Amazon
Fire Stick 4K.
- The whole process was extremely simple, with the
option to link your new account to an existing social media account like
Facebook, although the experience between different applications will vary. We
are not yet logged in.
With PlayStation Vue and Hulu with live TV, the Amazon Fire
Stick 4K played videos a few seconds faster than its predecessors and scrolled
through the TV Guide with no delay or jerk. It was also less likely that he
lowered the frame rate as he flipped through the home screen. (The Amazon Fire
Stick 4K could not deliver video at 60 frames per second on Hulu, but I hope
that will be resolved soon, as PlayStation Vue did not have such a problem.)
With the hardware-accelerated support of MPEG-2 videos on
the Amazon Fire Stick 4K, Amazon has even eliminated the users of more nerd
antennas. In other words, you can connect an HDHomeRun Connect TV tuner to your
wireless router and receive the channels wirelessly from any high-quality
streaming antenna in your home TV.
Amazon’s Fire TV and Fire TV Cube counterpart are also
technically compatible, but Roku does not support MPEG-2 playback at all. The Amazon
Fire Stick 4K with HDHomeRun is now a cost-effective way to get the highest
quality free streaming channels in the house, even with a single well-placed
antenna.
AMAZON FIRE STICK 4K – TOP 5 REMOTE FEATURES
- Using
the remote control to control the Amazon Fire Stick 4K is just as easy. The
voice search feature with Alexa technology is fast and accurate when using
applications like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.
- However,
voice search does not work for all applications of the service: UK viewers will
find that you cannot use them with BBC iPlayer. This means that you must
manually enter the search terms in the application. Also, in many applications
that otherwise support voice control, you cannot use your voice to jump to the
next episode, which is a bit annoying.
- Another
problem with voice search is that the content you are playing no longer appears
when you request the incompatibility of the Amazon Fire Stick 4K. You will need
to select it again in the application or on the Fire TV homepage to start the
process.
- Voice
search is generally very good, and you can even use voice commands to turn on
your TV, control your smart devices and watch live camera transmissions from
compatible smart surveillance cameras on your TV, which is really useful
- In
general, the search function is better than the previous model, as you can now
search for cast members, especially 4K content, as well as program titles.
Amazon’s own content has a predictable priority over the results of other
platforms, which can be irritating if, for example, you are primarily a Netflix
user.
In general, the selection of available applications is
extremely good, and you should be able to find the most streaming platforms you
can think of, though British viewers cannot find Now TV and US viewers. VUDU,
by Walmart, is a great source for Dolby Vision content. Still, there’s a lot of
content, so you probably will not miss the weird niche application, unless
you’re a diehard fan.
How to Set Up and Use Amazon Fire TV
In October 2017, Amazon launched its new media streaming
device, Amazon Fire TV with 4K Ultra HD. There were predecessors of this
device, including two previous generations of Fire TV and Amazon Fire Stick.
This device improves it in many ways, especially in terms of video streaming
quality, the number of available applications and the display options.
Follow the instructions below to configure.
1. CONNECT THE AMAZON FIRE TV
Amazon Fire TV ships with three parts you need to connect.
There is a USB cable, a square Fire TV (or a diamond shaped device) and a power
adapter. They can only be connected in one way and there are instructions in
the box.
However, the USB cable is in the middle and connects the
power adapter to the Fire TV if these instructions are not clear.
After making these connections:
- Connect the AC adapter to a nearby power outlet
or multiple outlets.
- Insert the USB cable behind your TV and connect
the Fire TV to an available HDMI port.
- Turn on
your TV.
- Use the Source
button on the remote control of your TV to locate the HDMI signal for the Fire TV.
2. DISCOVER
AMAZON FIRE TV REMOTE CONTROL OPTIONS
You can control Fire TV with the Alexa Voice remote control
that came with the device. Remove the cover by sliding it forward and insert
the batteries as described in the instructions. Then familiarize yourself with
these remote control options. You will need to use some of them during the
configuration process:
- Microphone
Button: Touch to activate Alexa on your TV. Provide a voice guide that
indicates what you want to do, see, or access. For example, you could say
“Show me Prime Movies” or “Play the game Sonic the
Hedgehog.”
- O-ring:
Place your finger on the outside of the O-ring at the top, left, bottom and
right and click in the direction you want to move on the screen. As you move,
highlighted items appear. Tap the ring to apply the highlighted selection.
Among other things, this allows you to start a movie you have selected or open
an application you have searched.
- Back
button: Touch this button to return to the previous screen in the Fire TV
interface.
- Home
button: Touch this button to go to the Fire TV home page, which displays
the available media, applications, games, and more.
- Options
button: Touch this three-line button to access the options that may not be
available depending on the selection.
- Rewind,
play and pause: play and touch or hold to scroll through the currently
playing media. Note that this may not work in all applications or with all
video services.
3. SET
UP AMAZON FIRE TV
When you turn on your Fire TV for the first time, the logo
screen will be displayed. Now you can configure the device. To set up Amazon
Fire TV:
- When
prompted, press the Play button on
the Alexa Voice Remote. Follow the
remaining steps here with the remote control.
- Select
your language.
- Pick
your Wi-Fi network. If there is more
than one, select the fastest one.
- Enter
your Wi-Fi password and click Connect.
- Wait
while the software is upgrading and the Fire TV is initializing. This can take
3-5 minutes.
- Accept
the default registration information
when prompted (or use a different Amazon account).
- Select
Yes to allow Amazon to save your
Wi-Fi password.
- Select
Yes or No to configure Parental
Control. If you choose Yes, create a pin as desired.
- Watch
the introductory video. It is very small.
- Click Select Applications and select the
applications you want to use. Use the right
arrow to see more. When you’re done, click the Play button on the remote.
- Click Download
Applications.
- Wait for Amazon to complete the configuration
process.
FINAL WORDS
Overall, everyone impressed by the Amazon Amazon Fire Stick
4K. The interface is very responsive, fast to load and intuitive to configure.
Navigating through the various applications, programs and movies is easy. The latest login contents are displayed on the home screen. However, you can find search results that are too focused on your own content from Amazon, if you are used to using other content transfer platforms Speaking of the lack of consistency of the different streaming platforms is a problem that was the predecessor of Amazon Fire TV Stick. Future updates will hopefully provide more parity on the various platforms to make the experience as optimized as possible, no matter where you see the content. However, we currently believe that most people can see beyond. To know more and more log on the Fire stick support website and click Amazon Live Chat button!
